Work Ethics
One of the most important things today is having good work ethics.
Some of the most important things to remember about project management is to make good decisions. A good project manager will be reasonable about the expectations of a project, the development team and deliverables that are required of the client. Reasonable expectations require reasonable goals. One of the first things that is required is that any consultant that you hire should be honest about the goals of the project with the project as well as the expectations of any deliverable from all parties, including the development team.
A few things that I try to do when I am working on an internet project:
- Make decisions on projects based on the information and expectations that are given to me and discussed. These should be included in the project.
- Make reasonable expectations on team development projects according to what I know the other team members can do and where I believe their skills to be are. It is best not to overestimate or underestimate anyone's capabilities.
- I recognize that the best way to do a project is to use good coding standards and project creation specifications. What this means is that I try to write clean code, incorporate accessibility standards, thoroughly document and comment the work in the project.
- Doing a project the right time, the first time is the best way to complete a project during development.
